JOE BUSCH

Joe Busch joined Excel Hydraulics LLC in 2005 as a Mechanic and Cylinder Repair Technician. He expanded his work scope and project experience to positions in fabrication, welding, mechanical repair and hydraulic systems trouble-shooting. In 2014 Joe was serving as the Cylinder & Machine Shop Supervisor when he was promoted to Project Manager & Sales Estimator. Three years later he was promoted to Key Accounts Manager where he focused on building long term relationships with Excel’s key accounts and ensuring customer’s repair needs were cost effective, on-time and in the best interest of the customer.

In 2019 Joe was promoted once again to his current role of General Manager. As Excel’s General Manager Joe’s responsibilities now include overseeing multiple areas within the company including the Truck/Heavy Equipment Repair Shop, Cylinder Repair and Machine Shop, Field Service Team, Counter Sales and Parts Group.

In his role as General Manager Joe uses his 15+ years of experience to deliver the best value and service to the customer. Joe uses his extensive background and knowledge in the hydraulic repair arena to hire Excel’s expert team of technicians, mechanics, service writers and office staff. He is committed to orchestrating production timelines daily to ensure customer needs are being met. As General Manager Joe is focused on the continued growth of the business and streamlining the operation.

TIM WALLACE

Prior to working at Excel, Tim gained considerable experience working as a Technician and sole onsite Mechanic at Discount Hydraulics, with additional responsibilities in inventory, over the counter sales, truck and heavy equipment repair.

For the past 11 years, Tim’s held progressively responsible positions at Excel, moving from a cylinder repair technician to cylinder shop supervisor in his first few years. In 2013, Tim earned a promotion to General Manager, which came with oversight responsibility for the company’s entire operation, including the Truck and Heavy Equipment repair shop, Cylinder repair and Machine shop, Field Service team, and the Counter Sales and Parts group.

As of June 2019, Tim’s role changed to Quality Manager in the pursuit of the company’s ISO9001 Certification and strengthening Excel’s training development program. In this role, his responsibilities are focused on training, documenting and standardizing processes for overall continual improvement. Excel Hydraulics is currently on pace to obtain the ISO9001 Certification by the end of 2019, just a few short months of him taking on the role. His responsibilities include managing Excel’s entire QMS, documenting and reporting quality objectives, setting training matrix’s, monitoring all continued improvement opportunities and analyzing Excel’s SWOT analysis.

Truck Shop Supervisor

KC MARQUIS JR- Truck Shop Supervisor

Kevin Marquis Jr. (KC) joined Excel in 2014 from Mecha Draulic Services. He brought with him years of experience in Hydraulic Cylinder Repairs, Custom Hoses & Fittings, Industrial Road Service experience, and Mobile Equipment Repair knowledge.

In 2014, KC acclimated himself with Excel’s road service work, became a truck shop tech, and a valuable resource for Excel’s wall board crane technical support team.
His education includes an Associate’s degree in “Arts & Sciences” from Indian Hill Community College, Ottumwa, IA. Then, in 2016 he completed “V&H Crane Service School” at V&H Trucks in Marshfield, WI.

KC’s attention to detail, wide range of technical skills and troubleshooting abilities lead him to a promotion in February 2018 to his current position as Truck Shop Supervisor. KC has the ability to quickly assess complex situations and determine a course of action for repairs that are in the best interest of the customers.

With an eagerness for continued growth, he has since earned his OSHA crane inspector certification in April 2019.

Mark Yanzuk

Machine Shop Supervisor

MARK YANZUK- Machine Shop Supervisor

Mark started his career at Excel Hydraulics in 2008 as a Cylinder Shop Mechanic. During his first year, he began apprenticing in the machine shop which lead him to want to further his education and began attending CDM Institute in 2011. He graduated in 2012 from CDM with a certificate in Autocad2011, Mastercam and CNC Fundamentals. With Mark’s strong work ethic and acquired knowledge of machining, he was promoted to head machinist in 2017. As head machinist he took on additional responsibilities with ease and oversaw the scheduling of all work that went through Excel’s machine shop.

With his proven track record and ability to lead Mark was promoted to his current role of Machine Shop Supervisor in 2018. Mark also plays a crucial role in mentoring and training all machine shop apprentices. He provides one-on-one hands on training on CNC and Manual machining. Mark evaluates production needs daily making sure timelines are accurate and due dates are being met for Excel customers.

KYLE MONACO-Key Accounts/Purchasing Manager

Kyle began his career at Excel Hydraulics in 2005. He gained top-quality experience through hands on training in the cylinder shop. For five years Kyle was a go-to technician in Excel’s Cylinder Shop. His ability to trouble shoot repairs aided in sustaining many of Excel’s customer relationships throughout the years. Kyle then attended Widener University where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business Management in 2010. In 2017 he was promoted to Key Accounts/Purchasing Manager. In his current role Kyle is responsible for ensuring Excel’s vendor and customer relationships are upheld to the highest level. He evaluates all vendor relationships and manages a team of purchasing agents to ensure Excel customers are receiving the best value, products and delivery times possible for complete customer satisfaction.
